No host plant alternation. Spermogonia unknown. Aecia hypophyllous, numerous, covering a good part of the leaf, yellow, border white, crenated. Urediniospores and teliospores in mixed sori; these hypophyllous, cinnamon coloured, tiny. Urediniospores 22-26 x 24-32 µm, 3 or more germination pores. Teliospores 24-26 x 40-44 µm, two-celled, both cells rounded, wall smooth; pedicel short, deciduous.
