No host plant alternation, no aecia. Uredinia hypophyllous, small, cinnamon coloured. Urediniospores with 2, equatorial, germination pores. Telia derive from the uredinia, dark brown. Teliospores 2-celled, elliptic, weakly constricted; wall of uniform thickness, with a reticulate structure; pedicel hyaline, deciduous.
