No host alternation, only spermogonia and telia. Spermogonia among the telia, honey-coloured. Telia dark brown, as up to 3 cm long powdery cushions on swollen parts of the vein undersidea and petioles. Teliospores 2-celled, 23-29 x 40-53 µm, wall completely smooth.
