Uromyces cristatus

Uromyces cristatus Schröter & Niessl, 1877

on Silene

No host plant alternation, only uredinia and telia. Uredinia amphigenous, long covered by the epidermis, chestnut brown; spores one-celled, remotely finely echinulate; spores with 3, ± equatorial germination pores. Telia partly originating in the uredinia, partly in a circle surrounding them, dark brown; spores one-celled, densely covered by high coarse warts, on a short, deciduous pedicel.

Caryophyllaceae, narrowly monophagous

Silene viscaria (=Viscaria vulgaris).

Not on Silene vulgaris!

perhaps host alternation does exist, with Euphorbia seguieriana.
