No host plant alternation, no uredinia. Aecia in groups of up to 3 cm long on petioles and stem, light yellow, peridium well-developed. Telia blackish brown, long covered by the epidermis. Teliospores one-celled, short-ovoid, thin-walled, smooth; pedicel hyaline, short, deciduous.
