on Apiaceae

gall

Spermogonia between the aecia, eventually honey-coloured. Aecia mostly hypophyllous, on strongly swollen parts of the leaf; they appear as warts, with the peridium extending through an apical pore. Spores pale yellow, thick-walled (up to 3 µm), very densely fine-verruculose, with 3-6 pores covered by a low papilla.

on Melica

gall

uredinia as long epiphyllous cushions, also on the leaf sheaths. Urediniospores thick-walled, spinulose, 5-8 pores. Telia linear, epiphyllous. Teliospores one-celled, almost globular; wall smooth, apically strongly thickened; pedicel stout, persistent, longer than the spore.
