Uredinia and telia amphigenous, also o the stems, less than a mm in size, surrounded by shreds of epidermis; often urediniospores and teliospores in the same sorus. Urediniospores 15-21 x 18-15 µm, spinulose with 5-7 pores, each with a low papilla. Teliospores irregularly verrucose, top with a low hyaline papilla; pedicel deciduous, short.
