No hostplant alternation,only uredinia and telia, both hypophyllous (i.e., submerged), brown and blackish brown, respectively. Urediniospores coarsely verrucose, ø 15-18 µm. Teliospores 1-celled, smooth, with a hyaline papilla; pedicel 4-12 µm, deciduous, hyaline.
