uredinia and telia amphigenous, soon naked, pulverulent, brown and blackish brown, respectively. Urediniospores 15-25 x 19-28 µm, remotely spinulose, with 3-5 randomly distributed pores. teliospores 18-20 x 21-24 µm, one-celled, with a barely visible sculpture of short vertical ridges; top with a low hyaline papilla; wall apically not thickened; pedicel deciduous, hyaline, short.
