Graphiola phoenicis

Graphiola phoenicis (Mougeot) Poiteau, 1824

on Phoenix, etc.

gall

± 2 mm large, black, pustules at either sides of the (especially older, lower) leaves. At maturity a yellow filament is extruded from the tip, where conidia are formed. This finally disintegrates, leaving a tiny black crater. Conidia hyaline to light brown, 4-5 x 5-6 µm, wallt thick and smooth.
