Urocystis avenastri

Urocystis avenastri (Massenot) Nannfeldt, 1959

on Avenula, Helictochloa

gall

long striae between the veins of the leaves and leaf sheaths; when the epidermis ruptures a powdery brownish black mass of spore balls is released. The spore balls consist of 1-4 spores, completely covered by a layer of smaller sterile cells.
