host plants

Plantaginaceae, monophagous

Plantago altissima, arenaria, lanceolata, major & subsp. intermedia, maritima & subsp. serpentina, media, sericea.

The North American Peronospora plantaginis Burrill ex Underwood, 1897 has different conidia measurements, viz. 16-25 x 30-48 µm (Brandenburger). Ruszkiewicz-Michalska & Michalski record this species from Poland, parasitising Plantago major, but without a discussion.
