upperside of the leaves with paled, slightly embossed patches; at the corresponding underside a greyish fungal down, consisting of erect, distally strongly branched conidiophores. In cases of severe infestation the entire plant may be covered. The conidia measure 13-21 x 14-23 ┬Ám.
