gall

blister-like swellings, mostly at the underside of the leaves, that eventually rupture and release a black, granular-powdery mass of spore balls. The spore balls consist of 2-15 spores, invested by a usually incomplete layer of small sterile cells.

Aquilegia aurea, caerulea, vulgaris.

According to Vánky, A. aurea is the only hostplant of this fungus. Records of other hostplant perhaps refer to U. sorosporioides ?
