Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europaea, 2010).

From Ireland to Poland (Fauna Europaea, 2010), at low levels and in mountainous regions.

Identical to the larva of Cerodontha pygmaea.

Shining metallic black, anchored in the mine by a silken thread.
