mycelium epiphyllous, thin, greyish white. Appressoria more or less clearly lobed, sometimes nipple-shaped, mostly solitary. Conidia solitary, without fibrosin bodies, cylindrical. Foot-cell of conidiophore mostly straight. Cleistothecia with 3-10 asci, containing 3-4 spores. Appendages generally numerous, sub-equatorial, 0.3-2.5 the diameter; they are mycelioid, unbranched, indistinctly septate, mostly hyaline.
