In the renewed and narrowed concept of this species of Denchev, Giraud & Hood (2009a), only Silene latifola is cited as a host plant. Now that the genus Microbotryum is being split up so strongly, probably the other Silene’s mentioned above will turn out as host of as yet undescribed species.
