Leaf spots with epiphyllous caespituli. Conidia brown, smooth, elliptic, several septa in two directions, 10-24 x 12-20 µm, with 5-20 µm long blunt thorns extending to all sides.
The teleomorph develops perithecia on the upper surface of fallen leaves; mature ascospores pale brown, 4-7 x 17-22 µm, 1(3)-septate (Butin ao)
